SKIP can provide your group with independent research on positive parenting and training material to help you take that message to your community. Due to the expense of the following resources they are only available to trainers and organisation working with parents.

The Discipline and Guidance of Children
This research report was commissioned by the Office of the Children's Commissioner and carried out by the Children's Issues Centre at the University of Otago.
Gravitas research report
This report summarises key findings that informed the development and implementation of the Strategies with Kids - Information for Parents (SKIP) initiative. The research looks at influences on parenting and caregiving, cultural issues, use of physical discipline, readiness to engage with SKIP, engagement with community organisations and other professionals, and strategy fundamentals.
Module 1: Conscious parenting
This training module is used by supporters of parents and caregivers to provide support and encouragement to parents by looking at 'What is conscious parenting?' and the five stages of change.
Module 2: Child development and behaviour
This training module is used by supporters of parents and caregivers to look at a child's stage of growth and development and how their behaviour is affected by this.
Module 3: The six principles of effective discipline
This training module is used by supporters of parents and caregivers to discuss and review the six principles of effective discipline: love and warmth, talking and listening, guidance and understanding, limits and boundaries, consistency and consequences, and a structured and secure world.
Basket of tools (Pasifika)
A series of discussion cards containing proverbs or wise quotes from Pasifika people. The focus is on parents and families of Pasifika children.

A series of discussion cards with a focus on supporting parents raising Māori children.
