Child development and behaviour

As parents, it helps us to understand what stage our child is at in their development and behaviour so we can adapt the environment and our responses to them as they grow.

Young children need to explore, touch and even sometimes dismantle things so that they can learn about their world. These behaviours are not done purposely to annoy us. The following topics in both English and te reo Māori were developed by asking parents of young children what they wanted help with.
