About SKIP

Strategies with Kids - Information for Parents (SKIP) provides support, information and parenting strategies for parents and caregivers of 0-5 year olds.

SKIP's vision is for all children in New Zealand to be raised in a positive way by parents and caregivers who feel confident about managing children's behaviour as part of a loving, nurturing relationship.

SKIP works with national and local organisations to support all New Zealand parents.

 We do this by:

  • providing free parenting resources for communities, organisations and parents
  • partnering with national organisations like Barnardos, Plunket, Playcentre, REAP NZ, Cook Islands Health Network Association and Te Kōhanga Reo to strengthen what they do and find new ways to work with parents
  • funding local organisations to support local parents through our Local Initiatives Fund (LIF).
